Advertising Policy
Last Updated: May 15, 2026
EvvyTools is a free online tools and calculator site, operated by 137Foundry, LLC. Display advertising helps keep the free tier free and allows us to keep building new tools without paywalling core functionality. This policy explains what kind of ads we show, where we show them, what we refuse, and how readers can control or report ads.
1. What Ads Support
All EvvyTools calculators, converters, and data lists are free to use without an account. Ads on free pages fund hosting, development, ongoing maintenance, and improvements. Subscribers to the optional EvvyTools Pro plan see no ads anywhere on the site — subscription revenue is the alternative to advertising.
2. Where Ads Appear
Display ads may appear in clearly defined locations: above the main content (leaderboard), beneath the tool interface (mid-content), in the sidebar on desktop layouts, and at the bottom of certain pages (multiplex). We do not:
- Place ads inside tool input areas where they could be mistaken for buttons.
- Use pop-ups, pop-unders, interstitials, or sound-on auto-play ads.
- Inject ads into the middle of paragraphs of body copy.
- Allow ads on premium subscriber pages or inside saved-history results.
3. Networks We Use
Ads are served by Google AdSense (publisher ID ca-pub-7600241908393957)
and, where applicable, vetted secondary networks. All partner networks must comply
with the Google AdSense program policies and the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB)
standards we reference below.
4. What Ads We Won't Accept
We do not knowingly accept or display ads in the following categories:
- Adult content — pornography, escort services, sexually explicit imagery.
- Gambling and get-rich-quick — lotteries, casino schemes, “crypto millionaire” pitches.
- Malware and deceptive software — fake virus warnings, fake browser updates, drive-by downloads.
- Misleading creatives — fake system messages, fake comment threads, fabricated celebrity endorsements.
- Illegal products — restricted firearms, controlled substances, counterfeit goods.
- Discrimination — ads that target by protected class in ways prohibited by US fair-housing or anti-discrimination law.
- Health and financial scams — miracle cures, unlicensed financial advice, MLM recruitment.
Programmatic ad delivery sometimes serves an ad that falls into one of the above categories despite our filtering. If you encounter such an ad, please report it (section 6) and we will block it.
5. Sponsored Content
Any blog post, comparison page, or list that contains paid placement, an affiliate link, or a sponsored review is clearly labeled with a “Sponsored,” “Paid partnership,” or “Affiliate link” disclosure at the top of the content. We never accept payment in exchange for changing the calculation, formula, or recommendation a tool returns — tools remain neutral regardless of any commercial relationship.
6. Reporting a Bad Ad
If you see an ad that violates this policy — misleading, scammy, or simply uncomfortable for general audiences — please email info@evvytools.com with:
- The page URL where you saw the ad.
- A screenshot of the ad if possible.
- The destination URL of the ad (right-click → copy link, or check your address bar after click).
We’ll review within three business days and, when warranted, block the offending advertiser through our ad-network controls. Repeat violators are added to a permanent block list.
7. Removing Ads Entirely
Readers who prefer an ad-free experience can subscribe to EvvyTools Pro for $4 / month or $40 / year. Pro removes all display ads site-wide, unlocks subscriber-only tool features, and lets you save calculations to a personal history. Visit /subscribe/ for the current plan options.
8. Personalized Ads and Your Data
Where local law requires consent for personalized advertising (the EU, the UK, and California, among others), readers see a consent banner on first visit and can change their consent state at any time through the “Manage Privacy Choices” link in the footer. Full details on what data is collected, how long it is kept, and your rights under GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws are in our Privacy Policy.
9. Editorial Independence
Advertising revenue does not influence which tools we build, what answers our calculators return, or which products we recommend in our blog content. Editorial decisions are made independently of advertising sales. If you believe a tool or post has been compromised by advertising influence, contact info@evvytools.com and we will investigate.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Advertising Policy when we add new ad placements, change networks, or refine the categories we accept. Material changes will be announced on the site and dated above. The most recent version is always at /advertising-policy/.
